Beck — Beck gets random on 120 minutes 1994

Thurston: Welcome back to 120 minutes! I'm Thurston Moore from Sonic Youth, your guest host tonight, and my first guest tonight is Beck! *Camera pans out* This is Beck, and uh, Beck I wanted to ask you a question. I recently picked up this 10 inch record of yours, it's called A Western Harvest Field by Moonlight. And, inside the record is a finger painting, which is kind of interesting because the name of the label is Fingerpaint Records. *He pulls out a picture from the vinyl sleeve* Beck: Mhm. Thurston: Really beautiful finger painting in here, now I was wondering uh, did you do this finger painting here? Beck: Yeah, I did it! *He grabs it and rips it apart* Here you go. *He hands the ripped pieces back to Thurston* Now you have a few extra ones. Thurston: Thanks, man! Beck: Sure. Thurston: That's great.. *He puts the ripped pieces of paper back in the sleeve* And uh, another question I wanted to ask you is, your song Loser, is uh, a huge smash hit right now. I'd like to- Beck: *Beck interrupts* Wait, I'm getting a call. *Beck pulls out a phone from behind him and holds it against his ear* Hello? *He hangs up and throws the phone against the ground, and then pulls out two baseball bats sitting beside him* How about a bat? *He gives a bat to Thurston* Alright! *They both proceed to violate the phone with the bat, smashing it over and over.* Thurston: Yeah, that's hot! Beck: Yeah. Thurston: You know, I guess we're gonna show the Loser video now, for uh, a lot of people to enjoy and I- Beck: Right on. Thurston: Yeah! You have anything to say about it? Because, it's a really good video, and everyone seems to like it. Beck: Hmmm.. Thurston: I mean, would you like to- Beck: Yeah, sure. *Beck pulls out some kind of device and it begins to play back some weird, distorted and unintelligible tape* Thurston: Yeah, that explains a lot, man!
